It took me nearly three months to inaugurate my blog ,that was lying untouched and obsolete. It took me some time to realize I needed a companion, who could act as my stress buster and who could silently listen to my blabber and gibberish . Our health minister is too keen on bringing in laws to improve health conditions in BPOs? (scoffs), I suggest he should start from engineering colleges itself. Then move on to IT industry ,or may be he should start from defunct government organizations. They need help, highly obese entities. :) or he should give heed to what SRK said at a recent meet, "I am too good looking to be in politics" . Aptly put. Well ,creativity is a gift and only a few are blessed with it. Definitely not me.
The fight for morning newspaper didn't turn into biology dissection class ,thankfully . It has been our customary practice to indulge in "time-wasting" discussions as my dear mother conveniently brands it.We just don't realize that we could end up missing respective 'coaches' to our 'work places' .'We' here refers to my brother and I. He seemed agitated. I guessed it was something to do with discrimination, somewhere.
IIM admissions has been under the scanner for long. Well, it deserves it.Recent trouble? skewed sex ratio in these institutions. The guys out there are laughing silently at the opposite sex's inability to make a mark in creative thinking and crack aptitude tests. The few who succeed in doing so, could end up as your 'ugly poke- marked' teacher in the same institution and the others could end up as hotshot corporates and figure in the list of "50 most successful women in the world". worth drooling over them. I must admit some where down the line guys are right. A girl's creative thinking seems to stop soon as she finishes her board exams. :) .could be because she realizes there it nothing to mug anymore? or could be she feels she has had enough and that she hopes for her parents to decide the future for her? Well, I don't intend to make this talk , an invitation to incur the wrath of pseudo feminists out there, who are demanding 33 percent reservations in the parliament. Why do you need it lady? Why do you want to give them a chance to feel pity and hopeless for you. Reservations are for the uplift-ment of the 'weaker' sections of the society,at the cost of other deserving factions(redefined by one Mr Singh) . Why do you need to be 'uplifted' when you are not even 'downtrodden' as such. You are strong as much as the men out there. . Again, pay heed to what SRK says, "politics isn't for good looking people" . Leave it to the menfolk.
Coming back, experts apparently feel it is because the CAT is strongly biased against pure graduates and favors the engineers, and that, the number of girls who take up engineering,is less.I agree with this . very much. I am surprised or rather filled with aghast when I think of hundreds of engineers who simply divert from their mainstream course and enter the management world. It's not like I am against those who choose to pursue an MBA ,after engineering because the under graduate degree isn't complete without enough entrepreneurship skills. But that's the case with any other course too.
It's just a facade engineers use.Mostly because they are trying to run away from the concept of research. India has a large pool of engineers. Churns out approximately some 2 lac engineers ,per annum, I heard ? But still depends on every other developed nation to acquire technology or even if the brainiest lot of India has invented something, it is mostly in the field of Defence and military technology . DRDO should be minting money. sigh..
The basics of management lies with the commerce graduates. My bro feels that way. I pity him ,seriously. They would have studied it as a part of their curriculum and so they have an equal right to make it to these institutions. but looks like the mathematical ability is tested a lot in CAT. What about those who have dreaded mathematics as a subject and feel it is going to be a hindrance in making their dreams comes true. They could probably conduct separate tests and test the managerial ability of those who have applied ,and probably that could make the paper a less biased towards the pure science graduates.Yet again, this should not compromise on the competitiveness of an individual.. Be it a pure science grad or a technical grad.. if a person is strong with his/her basics ,I personally feel nothing can deter them from achieving what they want.
Education system in our country however is a mess. I must say... sigh....
oh crap ! now i really don't know how to give a decent ending. some one help me !;)
